Mona Lisa smile

Hi,

This is my first blog...I am 26 year old house wife ..living in metro city but from a small town of Maharashtra...One may think what a small town girl wants to write about ''Mona Lisa''...Well I must admit That I am not a "Writer"..

Its not about Mona Lisa nor Da vinchi...

I saw a film last week ''Mona Lisa Smile''...ye Julia Roberts...The film was about "Katherine Ann Watson who has accepted a position teaching art history at the prestigious Wellesley College. Watson is a very modern woman, particularly for the 1950s, and has a passion not only for art but for her students. For the most part, the students all seem to be biding their time, waiting to find the right man to marry. The students are all very bright and Watson feels they are not reaching their potential."

At some point of life many of us must have chosen between study or marriage,Career or family,Job or husband....I am an engineer myself...I left my job as my father wanted me to get married...I thought I will do it after marriage...I couldn't as my husband got transfer to abroad..

It was question of his career...I left the thought to have a job...things after things...Now its been 4 years....and now I got the title"House wife"...Its not about being "house wife"..this does not make me any less smart...House wife do have intelligence ,ability,depth.... but this is stained with criticism...all my sacrifices comes under name of ''Responsibility''....So its all about "Mona Lisa Smile"Who can say what is behind that smile....satisfaction or pain?
